I couldn't resist taking a crappy phone photo of the 2008 primary ballot and voting booth at the Fairfax, California public library. Did everyone do this? When I told my sister I had done it she seemed alarmed, as if it were against the law and I might have been arrested. Does anyone know if that is the case, or are we all just so HLS (homeland security) shell-shocked that we are afraid of everything now? Curious.

So I figure I'll jump right in and share a couple photos. Hopefully I will be able to return regularly. My life was always a little more "on track" when I kept a daily journal. I guess it was a way for me to keep in touch with me, if that makes any sense. I would check in at the end of the day, or write long boring rants while on the bus or train. I haven't done it in years, and yes, I do miss it.

So... I promised scrumptious delights, and I always keep my promises. Here is a melt-in-your-mouth pot roast smothered in gravy with stewed potatoes and baby carrots for supper followed by a dessert of home-made cheesecake. LOTS of smushed raspberry goozle on top. Yum.

Of course I didn't cook anything for dinner tonight, I had a handful of cheeze-its and a glass of pinot grigio. Feast or famine, as they say! Until next time.
